Art Kunkin founded the Los Angeles Free Press in1964, the first alternative weekly of the Viet Nam war period. He has also edited Whole Life Times, The Realist, Ancient Wisdom for Modern Living, Hollywood Daily News, and Essentia (an alchemical magazine produced by Paracelsus College.) A former Professor of Journalism at Cal State University, Northridge, Art is also a graduate of a seven-year apprenticeship course in Alchemy and claims to know how to make the legendary Philosopher’s Stone for longevity. He has studied meditation with Tibetan Buddhists, Islamic Sufis, Hindu Yogis, Jewish Kabbalists, Hawaiian Kahunas, and Christian Mystics for more than forty years.
