Stan Chambers: "KTLA's News at Ten: Sixty Years with Stan Chambers"
When Stan Chambers launched his career at KTLA in 1947, everything was live. There were no news crews, sound technicians, cameramen for local film coverage or videotape. Reflecting on his stellar career, Chambers will highlight many milestone moments, starting with the story that not only sealed his dedication to news reporting, but also marked the dawn of extended on-site television news coverage: the rescue of Kathy Fiscus, the “little girl who fell into the well.” Winner of several Emmy and Golden Mike awards, Chambers shares his awareness of the intimate connection with people in their living rooms and a lifetime of delivering the news to them with honesty and integrity.
